Cookie policy Business Channel One
In short
When you visit bc1.eu, the site places exactly one cookie: bc1_cookie_consent, which remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie notice. This cookie is valid for one year, contains no personal data and is shared with no one.
For the video player, functional and necessary cookies are placed to keep the player secure, not tracking cookies for advertising or profiling.
One preference in your browser, not a cookie
The menu bar has a Voice button. Switch it on and the site will speak whatever you point at with the mouse. It is meant for people who cannot read the text comfortably.
To remember that you switched it on, we store one word in your browser under the name bc1_stem. This is not a cookie: it is never sent to our server, we cannot see it, and it cannot be used to recognise or track anyone. It literally contains the word "aan". Switch the button off and it is deleted straight away. You can also remove it yourself through your browser settings.
The reading aloud is done by your own browser, using the voices installed on your device. We do not send any text out for it. If your browser uses a voice that works over the internet (on Windows, for example, the voices with "Online" in the name), the maker of that voice does process the text. That is a setting on your own device and is separate from this website.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
You can review your choice at any time. The button below clears your choice and brings the cookie notice back, so you can choose again.
Cookies already placed by the video player or the sign-up form cannot be removed by us; you can clear those through your browser settings.
